Luna gently bonks her paddleboard up to the glass windows of Beckett's Outpost and disrupts everything he believed he knew with certainty—waterlevels are rising, the nomadic life is disappearing, mainland life is becoming more desperate, and fear is well, encompassing. Beckett learns that the difference between surface and depths is growing larger and deeper and more difficult to know.
Exciting, engaging, and when is the next one coming out?!? I love the characters and am curious about their world. I also love that the author used so little to tell so much. -G. Donahoe I loved diving into this world (pun intended)! This novella is lean, but feels lush somehow. It leaves you hanging - FYI - but I hear she's writing the next one now. I'm waiting on pins and needles!! - B. Rocker What a great introduction to some multi-layered characters! A few "grown up" moments with an evening of romance, but tastefully done. Both of the characters are hurting and scared for different reasons, hopefully they'll find healing with each other as the story continues. - L. Adina
