Published in January 2020, Lines by Leon: Poems, Prose, and Pictures is the debut book from author Leon Stevens. It is an eclectic mix of poetry, prose, and short stories.
Lines by Leon addresses the subjects of loss, struggle, and reflection. Inside these thoughtful contemplations are original observations about ego, behavior, human relations, places, and the environment. Many of the pieces feature a lighthearted and even humorous take on a subject, and the author invites his readers to laugh, think, cry, and meditate on the wide variety of thoughts. Scattered throughout the book are sketches of various subjects, many that relate to the poems and stories they illustrate; others speak for themselves.
Leon Stevens is currently running a funding campaign on Indiegogo. To support this independent author, visit his website at www.linesbyleon.com or https://igg.me/at/linesbyleon. Lines by Leon: Poems, Prose, and Pictures is also available at most online retailers.
A very charming, witty and entertaining book of short poems and pictures about… everything in life. It was fun to read and I believe it would make a great gift for poetry lovers.
Here you’ll find poems about environment (inside and outside), the human condition (ego, happiness, affirmations etc), different places (Vegas, Chicago, Minneapolis, London), different things and creatures - all of them with a pinch of humor & wisdom.
People like orbs
Drawn by gravity
Unable to exist alone…
These poems glimmer and sparkle and remind us to go out, open eyes and be astonished by this world…They draws you in, makes you think and dream.
Overall: creative, honest, funny. I'm sure you will find poems that are truly relate-able and real.
