I have been writing poetry since childhood and find it healing and essential in my life. I write freely with no particular style or format. I feel that if I tried to write for others I would not be honest, and so I write for myself. My work is raw, at times frightening and dark. I am a human being and therefore flawed, but I cherish my humanity. I remain true to myself and my voice because I refuse to be silenced. I encourage others to do the same: to follow their passions and do what makes them feel whole. Art in any form is not meant to be just one thing, or meant to be contained, just like my poetry is free of traditional restrictions. This is a glimpse into my mind; welcome and enjoy.
