Book Summary

Though Grace McGovern just graduated college, she’s restless, and to top it off, she finds herself single and unsatisfied with relationships in general. Roman intends to claim Grace and make her his mate and part of his pack. He’s searched for her for five years and now she’s within his longing grasp, apart from one minor problem. She has no idea she’s a wolf. As Grace tries to identify and cope with her inner wolf, she also needs to figure out the unprecedented and undeniable pull Roman has on her. Could he finally offer her the fulfilling relationship for which she’s been yearning?

Pursuing Grace was a very solid and enjoyable start to Cox's Shifter Chronicles series. This freebie novella set the stage for the characters and the story. Grace McGovern is a Lycan princess who has no idea that she is a Lycan, let alone a princess. Her very narrow world of just her and her well-adored grandmother, Ada, comes crashing in on her upon her Ada's death. Grace is quickly thrown into a world and into a reality that she never even knew existed. Fortunately for her she finds solace in the arms of her beta of the pack her deceased father belong to. Roman LaRossa is strong and sexy, and recognizes who Grace is to him almost immediately. But it's never that easy in these types of situations, and Roman has to contend with a stubborn woman and would-be kidnappers who want to take her away from him and make her their own. Pursuing Grace was well-paced and I liked the characters and the premise of the story. At it's end, Grace is coming into her own and learning more about herself and her lineage. I am eager to pick up Saving Grace to see what is next in store for her and Roman.
