Genre: Suspense Thrillers

Book Summary

Suffering from a job loss, an opportunity for a new start leads Gabriel Warner and his ten-year-old daughter Anne to the northern woods of New York state, just before the biggest blizzard in twenty years hits.

Desperate to escape the blizzard when a medical emergency forces them to leave their car behind, they take refuge in an empty steel and glass fortress nestled deep against the backdrop of thick trees and ragged mountain.

Safe for now, they're relieved, until they realize they're trapped inside by a state-of-the-art security system.

Without communication

Without heat or electricity.

Without food or water.

They've escaped the storm, but will they escape the Shelter?

"...Once again Erica Stinson writes a gripping suspense! I’ve read every book by her and have never been disappointed.... ‘Shelter’ had the perfect build-up of the massacre of a lovely family, a tense filled climax, to the denouement I was hoping for.
As a young author, Ms Stinson is only getting better at her craft and I hope to read many more books by her...."

"...Great story, suspenseful, loved how everything got wrapped up at the end.

"...I really, really enjoyed this book. It kept me interested(and anxious as I wondered what was going to happen next) throughout the story-line of Gabriel and his little girl Anne, stuck inside this house. Two men, both fathers, traumatized by horrible life-events and both stories within Shelter will pull you in and not let go until the last page. This is a definite page-turner and I am looking forward to the next book by Erica..."

"...I really enjoyed this story. Really good plot to the story. Very well written. Would highly recommend it to anyone who likes this kind of stories. Can't wait to read more from this author..."

About the Author

I published my first book in 2015, a romantic-suspense about a woman who escaped domestic abuse being stalked by her ex, called "Broken Pieces". This is a full-length novel in which a prequel was written afterward. Since that time, all of my books have been suspense-thriller or psychological-thriller.

In addition to writing, I like to knit, sew, cook, bake and I am an avid video-gamer. I spend the rest of my free time with my niece, Gianna.

I was born and raised in New York City. I still live in the same house of my youth, my family belonging to same community for over 72 years.

I have always enjoyed reading and would often read as many books as I was able to from a very young age.

I have recently completed my fifth novel, a suspense-thriller called "Shelter" that was released in February 2019.

I am currently at work on my next novel, "The Doctor"
