SOOTHING POETRY IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH is the 27th book of the award-winning and best - selling author, Brenda Mohammed. The English version of the poems was translated into Spanish by her equally brilliant sister, Dr. Arabella Persaud, a College Professor of Los Angeles in the USA. The book is now an Amazon No. 1 bestseller.
In the Foreword, Dr. Persaud stated :
"The author’s optimism is also apparent in the other poems in the collection. She pens her thoughts on various subjects like making mistakes, women’s role in society, human companionship, and the importance of nature and our surroundings. She also displays a deep insight into life and experiences that we all encounter in our day to day existence. "
She was right as I read the poems contained in the book, and they illustrated the positivity in all the poems that dealt with life experiences on love, hope, and faith as we traverse our journey in life. The poems further illustrated how we interact with society, nature, and surroundings with optimism.
For me, I love all the poems in the book but two (2) poems were very outstanding and it was entitled: Hope beckons and My seven years in writing.
For Hope Beckons:
I will quote one stanza:
Each one experiences highs and lows in one’s life
Sometimes we find ourselves amidst terrible strife
That’s no reason to say, I can’t and give up
Let Hope, Faith, and Love take you to the top.
I enjoyed and was Intrigued by her poem, My seven years in writing which illustrated how she started writing her first book up to 26th book and being a Founder of the How to Write for Success forum, as well as Regional Director in Motivational Strips – The World’s Most Active Writers Forum. A wonderful experience that writers can emulate.
I was also impressed with Brenda’s excellent biography and everybody who will read it will be inspired, motivated, and dream to achieve what she had achieved as an author.
I commend Brenda Mohammed for publishing poetry that soothes our soul.
I also commend the beautiful layout, editing, and the cover design that she did all by herself.
