Book Summary

In the tradition of Regency Romance, a sweet story set in the glittering social world of Georgian London. The daughter of a social outcast finds the path of true love proverbially rough when she reluctantly falls for an arbiter of fashion…

Elizabeth has certainly done her research, and at times during the read the descriptions of the textures of the cloth that they wore was so clearly conveyed in the writing, I could practically smell the garments. Very good enlightening book and enjoyable read.

Many historical books written by current authors are using modern language and the characters do not show the formality and the propriety so commonly takes place during that period of time.
This one fits the criteria that I look for in Regency romance.

About the Author

A hybrid author, Elizabeth Bailey has written in different genres. Currently she is busy with Regency Romance, writing every day. her new series Brides by Chance has just launched with In Honour Bound and Book Two rolls in just before Christmas. Meanwhile, Elizabeth's Georgian Romance series keeps growing and she is planning on getting out Book Three of her Lady Fan Mystery series.

She thinks of her other genre as edgy women's fiction. Romantic suspense runs alongside books touching on the paranormal. And she is also putting out a series of short romances.

Elizabeth is an avid reader herself and much of her time is spent helping authors achieve publishable manuscripts. As a sometime actress, drama teacher and theatre director, her writing is fuelled with her experiences of drama and the demands of the stage.
