Sometimes the right decisions are the hardest to make
Raised in a fatherless home by an alcoholic mother, Leslie VandeKeere has no reason to trust that any man will be there when she needs him the most. Even her own husband Dan admits that he was tempted to stray from his vows.
When a financial crisis means she and Dan must pack up their son and daughter and move home to his mother's farm, Leslie struggles to find her place in a family who openly worship God.
A return to her career in nursing at the local hospital seems to give Leslie's life new purpose. But when she is tempted to seek comfort in the arms of a handsome doctor, she realizes she too, is vulnerable to temptation. It will take two to make her marriage work--if only she can convince Dan to return to their old life.
But when their young son is stricken with a life-threatening disease, will Leslie accept that the fearful void in her heart can be filled by faith? And that Dan's family and community may just be the only best place for them all?

This is the first book I've read from this author. From the first page I was hooked! Drawn in by the daily turmoil of an almost broken marriage Dan and Leslie move back to his childhood home, broke and trying to refind the marriage they want . Leslie being an ER nurse and a "heathen" needs to rely on strength she believes are weaknesses. Dan being raised in church .....bring up a child ..... returns to his roots. .. These characters are real with real life problems. See how God turns it for His good through sickness of their child and through the beauty of the land. Ever drawing them nearer. Thank you for reading! I can't wait to read the next and the next.
