“What Happened to Mary Loo’ is the third book in the Barry Holmes Mystery Series written by Brenda Mohammed.
As I read along, I could picture every detail of the story as the book was set in Trinidad where I live.
The story began immediately after the lockdown for the coronavirus pandemic was lifted.
Jacob’s wife Mary Loo, a businesswoman. disappeared in a bizarre state of events in front of her home in the Caribbean Island of Trinidad.
The detectives involved in the case were unable to solve it.
Barry Holmes stepped in and together with his newly hired assistant Jean Bryant, uncovered the mystery.
Every time I thought I knew who the culprit was there was another twist in the story.
I love mysteries and this one is definitely a favourite of mine.
There was an enjoyable sub-plot too with a bit of romance.
Brenda Mohammed is a very talented writer who writes in all genres and I am one of her ardent fans.
Do not miss out on this one.
